What’s been happening:

After graduating in 2006, I went abroad to live and work in Australia. Then I traveled around Australia and Southeast Asia for four months. I saw some amazingly inspiring and beautiful things. It was one of the most exciting and liberating times in my life thus far. Since returning to the States, I have worked as a teaching assistant in a variety of settings: a kindergarten communication development class consisting of boys on the autistic spectrum and an ESL program for 6th, 7th & 8th grade students. I am currently living in Astoria, New York. Right now I am working in a first grade class at a wonderfully progressive charter school also in Astoria. However, this year will be my last as a TA. Ive decided to go back to grad school full time. Ill be starting an MS program in Speech-Language Pathology at Hunter College in New York. I feel more excited and ready than ever before. Although I'm extremely happy with my life now, I miss Penn State and I'm looking forward to the upcoming football season and all the tailgates and reunions to come!
